1980 Trojan 36 Cockpit Transformation
This classic 1980 Trojan 36 received a custom GatorStep upgrade in the main cockpit, giving the boat a fresh, modern appearance while staying true to its timeless character.
Our goal was to enhance comfort, safety, and durability without taking away from the original design that makes these classic Trojans so iconic. The custom-fit GatorStep flooring was carefully designed to complement the existing layout, preserving the boat's vintage style while adding a premium, updated finish.
The result is a cockpit that looks factory-installed, provides exceptional traction in both wet and dry conditions, stays cooler underfoot than traditional surfaces, and is far easier to maintain than aging carpet or worn non-skid.
This project is a perfect example of how GatorStep can breathe new life into a classic boat—maintaining its heritage while delivering the comfort, performance, and appearance expected from a modern custom flooring system.
